Moses the Black (d.c. 405), Saint: Black Catholic History Month
The tapestry on the walls of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Downtown Los Angeles, California reflects the diversity of the Catholic Church and the Faith.
Moses the Black’s Feast Day is August 28, an Ethiopian hermit and martyr born into slavery, he was driven out because of his violence and evil. He was a leader of an outlaw band and hide in the Egyptian desert of Skete in the Delta region.
Moses the Black had many supernatural and mystical gifts.
Moses the Black became a Monk at Petra Monastery, was ordained by Theophilus of Alexandria. He was slain with six companions by Berbers, he refused to defend himself.

Elizabeth of Portugal (1271-1336), Saint: Black Catholic History Month

Elizabeth of Portugal is also called Isabella, her Feast Day is July 4th and was canonized by Pope Urban VIII in 1625. She was married at age 12 to a corrupt and immoral King Denis of Portugal. She is daughter of King Pedro (Peter) III of Aragon, Spain, her native land.
Elizabeth of Portugal overcame difficulties of her marriage and is called the “Peacemaker” by Castile, Aragon, and Portugal because of her abilities to negotiate ends of disputes and conflicts and earned the respect of these monarchs of the Iberian Peninsula.

Martin de Porres (1579-1639), Saint: Black Catholic History Month
The tapestry on the walls of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels Downtown Los Angeles, California reflects the diversity of the Catholic Church and the Faith.
St. Martin de Porres, also St. Martin of Porres’ Feast Day is November 3 and was canonized by Pope John XXIII in 1962. He is a Dominican mystic and lay brother, me experienced many mystical gifts including bilocation and aerial flights.
Martin is the patron of interracial justice, founded an orphange and ministered to Afircan slaves brought to Lima where he was born. Outside of the Dominican Monastery he is known for care of the poor and sick. He is a friend of St. Rose of Lima and was aided by her who respected his penances and labors.
On 11/23/2008 between 1:20pm and 1:47pm, while writing about Black Catholic History Month I had several visions of St. Martin de Porres. In 1990 when Black Catholic History Month was founded, St. Martin de Porres was the first Black Saint to be Honored.

Several times about 4 or 5 years ago I had aberrations of Fredrick D. Patterson. My mother use to work for The United Negro College Fund (UNCF). My family volunteered for many of the activities and fund raisers.

On 11/26/2008 at 4:32pm while looking up the Famous Black Writer/Poet I had a vision of him. It looks like he has an angel that still interacts with Black writers, maybe a muse!!!!!

Charles Lwanga [Martyrs of Uganda] (d. 1885-1887), Saint: Black Catholic History Month
St. Charles Lwanga died with a group of courtiers and servants in the court of King Mwanga of Uganda (r. 1884-1901). There Feast Day is June 3, and they were canonized in 1964.
Some of the Martyrs were young boys and were slain with horrible cruelty. All were convert of the White Fathers the Missionaries of Africa founded by Charles Cardinal Lavigerie in 1868.
A shrine was erected in their honor, it is now a Basilica.
